Missing the books

I finally got to watch Memoirs of a Geisha last night when it arrived via Netflix. I must say I was a little disappointed. The movie sticks to the book quite well, but something was missing though. I can’t quite put my finger on it. Well, for one thing. Everyone speaking with thick accents kind of takes away a little bit of the drama. I couldn’t quite call it my new favorite. A Non Resolution

Since I’ve returned from Bangkok and settled into the new apartment, I’ve got myself on a new path. I will try to eat better. I will try to work out at least 3 times a week (mainly yoga) I will clean the apartment more religiously. I will cook at least twice during the weekday and at least once on the weekend. I will not let the laundry or dishes pile up. I will play music at least once a week. And so far, I’ve done pretty well I think. Newer Addictions

#1 Again, Lost We’re now starting obsessed with the show. Trying like hell to catch up with first season–we watched disc 2 last night–and avoiding spoilers like a plague. Daniel Dae Kim was on KROQ this morning. I had to turn off the radio. LOL. #2 OCTA express bus 701 The bus that takes the OC residents to their work downtown LA. Adventures in commuting

Yesterday was the day from commuter’s hell. The Blue Line has been having problems since a car flew off the 91 and landed on the line. So, standing on the platform, I was informed the train would be coming at 30 minute interval instead of the usual 7. Fine. I still made it to work on time that day. Monday evening, a coworker used me for my body and we flew down the freeways in carpool lane all the way to Long Beach.
