Sleep is scary

I don’t know why but I’m just afraid to go to sleep tonight. Not afraid because there’s a monster under my bed or something like that. But afraid that if I allow myself into the warm embrace of electric blanket, comforting darkness of the room, and loving arms of Brandon, I’d never ever get out of bed again. That I’d just stay there all weekend, hugging my Snoopy and never really get out. I’m afraid to get totally comfortable because I’d love it so much that I wouldn’t want to come out and face the world. The stress. The homework....

Crazy yo

Today has been one heck of a day. Up at 4:45 AM to wash my hair, and catch the train to get to the office by 6:30. I had to set up the projector for the board meeting…and then unexpectedly again for another meeting next door in a mad rush (and it didn’t even work!). More work up until 12:30 when I took a break to go inhale my lunch just to get back to help set up the company birthday party (and I didn’t even get piece of cake!) Quicky

1. Daniel Craig as James Bond? I don’t fricking think so. This guy doesn’t ooze sexiness like Brosnan or Connery, but gives out slimy-smarmy vibe. My pick: Gerard Butler. Smoldering wiley hotness! 2. If I haven’t mentioned, I’m still “blind”. First, the ophthalmologist. Eyes are wetter since the plugs. He measured me for glasses and determined that the glasses prescribed to me a month ago was too weak. WTF? That chick told me my original prescription was too strong! Anyhoo. So doc sent me to the optometrist he trusts. The new optometrist first declared my eyes may still be too...

For us in the 3rd world country, education is highly valued. With education, you get better job. With better job, you have a better life. Sure, that standard is true for everyone, but for families who are living in the slums, it’s the only...

One for my baby

I don’t remember the first song I’ve played in the Lowrey but I’m pretty sure it was “And so it goes”. So that was the first song I play tonight. And, of course, we ended with the Looney Tunes theme. I can’t believe I’m crying. I’m not only parting ways with the piano, but a few other stuffed animals as well. I have about a dozen of them on the piano so I decided on donating some of them. That may be worse than actually parting ways with the piano. At least one of them I hauled from home, the...
