It was a productive day topped with office November birthday celebration. I usually throw such parties but this one was taken off my hand. Pat O. even surprised me with my own birthday cake! The CEO who shares my birthday said that since I throw parties for everyone all year long, it is only fitting that I get my own cake this year. 🙂
A combination of crazy Big Gala work day and sugar high/lows, I needed a decompression session. So our little gang stopped at Suede before heading home.
I made the wrong bet and chanced the 110 instead of the more reliable 5 Freeway. Somewhere while stuck getting on the 110, I called Brandon with a dinner idea we could both be happy with.
By the time I got home with the food, it was close to 8 p.m. We ate dinner with an episode of “Legend of the Seeker”. Brandon is giving the show another chance. All the while I kind of had it with the show.
At some point I put my plate down, gazed at the the TV and fell asleep.
Funny. I didn’t remember falling asleep.
Brandon woke me up to get in bed at 9:15 p.m.
This is the moment when I realize how much of a role my daily commuter naps play in my life.
I nap on my way into work and nap on my way out. So I’m energetic at work all day and have energy to make dinner or run errands and what not when I get home.
Driving to work has drained me much more than I know.
And it shows last night.
Obviously, I missed Loy Kratong altogether.
I did get a chance to look at the full moon though. 🙂
