Everyone say “Congratulations, Elan!”

The Glamour Geek is getting married this weekend. Last night Elan’s sisters and her friend host a bridal shower this lovely mansion home in LA. That was the smallest bridal shower I’ve been to but it is what I think all bridal should be. It was no frill and very intimate. No games or anything penis related. No mock bouquet. Just the bride, sisters, and a few friends having Thai food, Cosmos, and Amaretto brownies.

Like Irena, Elan is yet another friend from the old dot com days. Actually, Elan and I met at the Star Wars Episode I premiere. She was a friend of Chris the Frenchy and brought us food when we were waiting in line. We talked then and in all sorts of twists of fate, I ended up at the dot com and then I brought her in. The rest is history.

This makes the two big events for my dot com buddies in a week. Irena is moving away AND getting married next year. Elan is getting married this weekend.
