Aloha Friday

We had such a good time at work today! Once again, I ran the company potluck and this time it was the Endless Summer Potluck and Hawaiian Shirt Friday. To my amazement, most of the folks got into the spirit and donned their best Alohas. One coworker brought in his Tiki wood totem for decoration and shared with me his Hawaiian music CD. I ripped the CD and put them on my Sensa MP3 player along with my choice picks of Jack Johnson, “Lime and the Coconut” song, Moby’s “Porcelain”, and Elvis Greatest Hits. What a day!

Just got back from spending an entire day in Pasadena with Celeste a while ago. I was supposed to go to Nhien’s party in Glendale at 7:30 but by 6 p.m. I was beat. Let’s see here. 11:30 – Got to Celeste’s place. 12:15 – Got to the salon in Pasadena. Met Mary Ann, the stylist, Celeste’s good friend. 12:30 – Done with shampooing and having my glass of wine. 2:00 – Done with hair cut and styling. 2:15 – Settled in for lunch at Groucho Grill. Had my first Quilmes, Argentine beer. Yumm…. 3:00 – Mary Ann joined us...

Hoot!

1 a.m. and I’m not in bed. Wow. I’m all wired. Partly from 2/3 of a massive blue cheese and bacon burger and fries at Hennessey’s. Too full. Partly from a pint and a half of Bass (Brandon didn’t finish his). Too full-er…and a little buzzed. And why the celebration? I had my performance review. It was stella. And I got a raise. Yey....

Self Inflicted Wound

Why oh why did I have to drink all 2 full glasses of wine last night? That’s pretty much half a glass too much for my limit. Oh no, I didn’t throw up or anything but I was dizzy and babbling. LOL. Thank god, I booze up like that only at home. But I deserve it. This week has been a roller coaster ride at work. I survived the once-a-month Tuesday from Hell, the day we prep for our monthly board meeting. It was usually painless, but with Celeste moved up the corporate ladder, I had to fill the void....

#1 : ~H2O+ Sea Marine Body Scrubs, Dry Skin Care LOVE the smell. LOVE the way it feels when I use it. LOVE the feel of my skin afterward. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE!!! #2 : Blimpies Best Sandwich Salami, cappicola, prosciuttini, and provolone on toasted whole grain bread, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, olives, pickles, oil and vinegar, and black pepper. Hmmmmmm…. #3 : Marcello’s A little Italian joint in the Bonaventure hotel across the way. Awesome lunch specials. Friendly services and affordable price.
