Super Weekend

This weekend flew by at warp speed. Well, as it should as I was on board the Enterprise. Hehe. I will put the picture of our group on the bridge of NC-1701-A…that’s the Kirk-Spock Enterprise to you…up as soon as I could clean all the specks off of my scan. The Star Trek Tour was quite fun. The price is a little steep for the experience but yeah, it was really entertaining. The group went to Gaffey Street Diner for a huge lunch. Then later on, Erik, Brandon, and I followed our inner 13-year-old’s lack of better sense and saw...

End of the World

As we were watching a documentary on a few ways that humanity could come to an end. You know, massive volcanic eruption. Nuclear War. Global Warming. That kind of thing. They mentioned asteroid collisions of the worst kind. Me: I’d totally go wait right there where the asteroid is going to hit. I’d rather having us die right there on the spot than ending having to eat each other…you know, not in a sexual way. Brandon laughs. Me: I mean, seriously though. I don’t want to suffer through the whole aftermath. I’d rather go with the first blow. Brandon: And...

Vacation from Vacation

Aloha, gang. We’re back on the mainland. And today, we took a vacation from our vacation. We slept in, stayed in, and went out for our massages. Hmm…hot stone therapy. We had an overall great time. I wish I didn’t have to play the tour director the entire trip, but that is what you have when we have one really out of towner in the midst. Dad had a great time too, I hope. The Couch Monkey Adventures album is up and running. That alone should give you an idea from our trip. As I am still giving myself a...

Da Walkathon

Hawaii Day One was quite an eventful day. Party at Ray’s was quite fun. His house ROCKS my socks off. Up in the hills of Waialae area. The view, even at night, was just amazing. Hawaii Day Two started off slow as everyone needed the sleep. I was the first one up. After an hour or putzing around the room, I decided to just go to the beach on my own. Upon waking up to tell Brandon where I was going, he decided to roll out of bed and join me. We strolled across the park to the Ala Moana...

The Gift

Next Sunday is our 6th wedding anniversary.  Appropriately, we’ll be celebrating that in Honolulu.  (5 more days!!!)  But the question about anniversary gift came up. B: What is the gift we are supposed to give each other this year? O: I don’t know.  I don’t think there’s anything special to give after the 5th one until the 10th one.  [Note: Wrong! Traditional gift for 6th anniversary is candy or iron.]  If that’s the case, I already got you something from ThinkGeek. B: What do you want me to get you then? O: You think of something this time.  Something small....

2007 in a paragraph

Taking the cue from Lillian, here is the summary of 2007, constructed of the first sentence of the first post of each month. It’s 4:42 a.m. At the Accounting Guy’s desk. That’ll be me. I don’t think I’ll EVER learn the lesson. First there was Rove. Much to share. Just keeping awake right now, y’all. Brandon mentioned that IF we were really really good and eating in a lot more, we could possibly afford to have a maid service to come in once a month for a thorough cleaning of the place. It’s 11 p.m. on a rainy Bangkok Saturday...
