Ranked

Matt the Lost Boy launched his top 100 Thailand blogs ranking. Guess who came in at #21? ETA: Ranking changed daily.  So I’ve dropped like gazillion spots since the launch.  Haha!  Get over there and help me at least stay on the list, okay? I am surprised and honored to actually get to share the edge of the spotlight where the really good blogs about Thailand are featured. My blog is more of a personal rant and rave with some Thai flavors. Well, heck, I’m Thai! What other flavor is this blog going to have? Even my husband says that...

Happy Busy

Seriously. Friday was a combination of hard work and fun. Nhien and I managed not to hurt ourselves while moving all sorts of boxes of our printed matter around the office and worked up a pretty good appetite. We grabbed Celeste and Pat and headed to Sushi Go 55 and the rest is over there. We came back just in time for me to throw the office birthday party. With yummy stuff from Delilah Bakery, everyone had a happy afternoon, all hopped up on sugar! I mean, all 6′ 5″ of Canadian Greg scooted over to us on this thing...

Instant Weight Loss

Change your weight into kilos in the U.S., and you’re actually lighter. Apparently, the cylinder that defines how much one kilogram is has become 50 micrograms lighter.  At least the one in the U.S. is. I weigh in at 105 lbs.  (Yes, I’m officially over 100 lbs.  Shut up.)  = 47,627,198,850 micrograms (47.627198850 kilograms) If the U.S. kilo is now 999,950 micrograms, then I actually weigh 47,627,196,469 microgram (47.627196469 kilograms) I’m 2381.359943 micrograms lighter now! Woohoo!...

Is this the Matrix?

I’m sure Morpheus is waiting outside the door with the blue pill and red pill right now. I can’t possibly living in a real world right now. I finished the 2-day cram CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) course at 5:15 p.m. today. I walked away from Justin & Olaina’s kitchen table to join them in his office in a semi-daze. Lines of codes floating in my head. We were deciding where to go for dinner. Justin said we could look at the menus on his computer. Olaina and I congregated in front of the lap top. The font was so small,...

Can Hardly Wait

…for… Arrival of Peanut/Dresden. We have been on baby watch all weekend for Aurora and James’ first child. Or as James’ WoW gang would say, “We’re waiting for Dresden to spawn.” Apparently, Nan is on baby watch as well. Let’s see who’ll be here first! Tuesday. Because Stargate SG-1 The Ark of Truth comes out on DVD. Now we can put the whole damn Ori crap to rest. AND hopefully give SG-1 a better sign-off than the stupid time traveling series finale. March 19. The day I head to San Diego to hang with Olaina and Justin for 3 days....

Sunshine after the rain

Out of sadness, comes hope.  And a renewed energy to get on with life. Brandon and I are entering a few photos into the amateur photography contest in our little city.  I have been looking forward to this since winter, and damn near almost miss the deadline!  Brandon will drop our handy works off on Monday before he goes to work. Nhien, a quasi-professional photographer, helped me pick a few more options out yesterday.  She had entered a few contests herself so she knows what to look for.  I told her if I win, I’ll give her a framed print...
