Progession of a disease – with updates

Saturday early night: Sore, sore throat. Thought it was from all the screaming I did at Amy’s watching the game. But then it hurted in my inner ears too. You know, where you feel your ears and throat connected? It started to feel strepthroat like… Saturday late night: Woke up choking on the nastiness that was forming in my lung. Took a Mucinex. Went back to bed. Throat and ears still hurt like hell. Sunday morning: Woke up with a better sore throat but getting all rattly and phgelmy in the air way. Mucinex kicked some more ass. Fever ran...

Say what?

May be it’s the fever (low grade now, instead of the steady 101-102 last night), or all sorts of medication I’m taking but I thought I heard Elton John sings… “Hold me closer, Tony Danza…” That brought me to some other misheard lyrics in my collection. Ack.

No, I don’t want to talk about last night. Although hanging out with Amy was massively fun. Now, I am sick. My body doesn’t want to follow my brain’s order to move. My throat is killing me. Like I said. Ack....

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

momandkids Originally uploaded by theoakmonster. When I called Mommy last night, it was noon their time. The hospital room was buzzing with activity. The Aunties were all there. Ake, my oldest brother, answered the phone. Mom said they were having her favorite food from See Fah Restaurant and white chocolate cake. She said that she’s eating the cake first. Hahaha! We are all grateful that you get to celebrate another birthday with us. At some point in the last few months, we feared this day would never come. But here you are, getting better everyday and kicking both cancer’s and...

I saw the sign

More like I heard the signs. After yapping about college football and trash talking with the 2 bruins on my bus, I settled in for the ride home with my MP3 player. The play list went like this. Desperado – The Eagles Always on my mind – Willie Nelson Always on your side – Sheryl Crow Sweet child of mine – Guns N Roses. 2 songs are currently my show pieces and 2 others I am learning to play. I skipped Pussycat Dolls’ Buttons and landed on Evanescense’s Call Me When You’re Sober, yet another song I’m attempting on the...
