After School and Special Bowl

Obviously, I’m trying to beat jetlag by making myself as tired as possible. Then again, I have a lot I wanted to do on the computer tonight. So, that’s good for me. Bad for the lonely boy in my bed. Hehe. A few more blog of notes I’m rolling. First, my dear friend Olaina at Olaina After School. I got her blogging a few weekends ago. And here she is! Olaina has been going through a lot lately, and I am glad to get her online to share her thoughts and experiences. Yet, another place for people to come by...

Flight day

Over in the Phillippines, a volcano is about to erupt. If it does, it’d send up ashes for my flight to fly around. *Update* Super Typhoon Saomai is making landfall around midnight in China, south of Shanghai. …This is going to make an interesting flight… Over in Bangkok, the weather forecast spells rain and thunderstorm all week and therefore we’ll be flying in the rain and thunders when I land. I’m getting on the plane in 6 hours. All of this had better blown over. Maybe I need to reinforce Bonine with valium. Or somebody please knock me out. Help...

Fantastic!

“Fantastic” is my favorite word of the moment. Fan-tastic. Fan-fucking-tastic! I. Love. It! Like Sebastian Bach said on Supergroup, “It just rolls off your tongue.” That, and “Thwack”. Thwack that tennis ball. Thwack him in the head. Give it a few thwacks. That sort of thing. And, I won a free lunch from Marcello’s today. Yey, me!...

Confessions

Because I have nothing going in life but working, prepping for the trip, thinking about mom, being pissed at my jackass brother. Brandon is my rock right now. In his own way, he’s keeping me sane. We’ve gone out and done things outside the house all weekend. Partly because the apartment was so damn hot, but I know also that he wanted to make me feel better. The truth is, I’m scared. When I went home last time to see mom, I sort of expected to see her in worse shape. You know, sunken cheeks and bald head. I had...

*Giggle* Part 2

Continues from *Giggle*. A collection of giggly moments from the past few days. Giggle #2 Eva: Have you heard about the possible rolling black out through LA today? Me: Yeah. Well, maybe I should turn off my radio or something to help a little bit. Eva: How about we just turn off our computers? Giggle #3 Me: Celeste, would you like some almonds? Celeste: No, thank you. I just don’t want the feeling of having something rolling around in my mouth right now. Giggle #4 Celeste, Eva, and I went downstairs to get Starbucks. We came out of the elevator...

*Giggle*

I don’t know if this Volkswagen spot runs outside of Southern California. But there’s a series of a supposedly recorded real conversation between VW German Engineer and a car salesman while test driving some cars. So far we’ve heard something like, “This car is not fast. And it’s making me furious” and “Driving this car I feel like I’m being punished”. But the end of this new one is this: Car, honk if you suck. *Honk* And I giggle. Uncontrollably. Perhaps I truly lost my mind…...
