Little Things that Make You Happy

Sometimes you just take things for granted. From this past few days, I have come to appreciate many more things. Here’s the list, not in any particular order. 1. How much fun it is to get into a large box or a plastic storage tub. Exhibit A Exhibit B 2. Even more fun than that is once inside a large plastic storage tub, your friend pushed you at high speed down the aisle in the middle of WalMart. See Exhibit B. With big ol’ Erik behind it. Oh I wish Brandon had a video capture on his phone! 3. Pixie...

ONE

“Wanna bet we won’t have hot water tomorrow?” said Brandon as we walked pass the apartment’s water heater which was making horrific clunking noises. Sure enough, Saturday morning came and there was no hot water. I called Nora, letting her and her sister know that I would be there around 9:30 instead of 10 a.m. and that I needed to use their shower. Inappropriate Friday

I am the queen of all the inappropriate comments today. Even got Brandon beat on the last one. Inappropriateness #1 Coworker Guy walked by, saying hi to everyone. Girl Next Cube: Wow. Someone’s in a good mood. Me: Sure sounds like it. Girl Next Cube: He must have gotten some. Me: Probably did. Girl Next Cube: [Seconds later, looking at something on the internet.] Oooooh. News (and a gift!) from Home

I called my dad this morning. The Okay News With mom, we don’t really have “good news” unless it’s “Cancer is in remission!” They have started my mom on the cancer drug. So far, she felt nauseous the first few days and then back to normal again. The stroke recovery is going very well and she is actually eating on her own…a lot of it. *Phew* When I was over there, they took off her feeding tube to change into a new one and to go down another nostril. Mom fought it and that resulted in the tube being removed...

Dates with the Docs

At first I was going to blog something more on a depressing note. But screw it, I have a few dates with a few good doctors tonight. So, first date at 8 p.m. was quite satisfying. Dr. Gregory House is still charming. Not much brooding and being that big of a dick, but still. I mean, those blue eyes! Can they sparkle any more now that he’s actually happy? /me sighs and melts when he toys with Dr. Cameron by asking her out and smiling at her. The second date is coming up in a few minutes. A double whammy...
