We are Siamese if you please

Say hello to Gnarly Kitty, a voice of the new generation of Thai young women. Kitty posted a comment on my recent Thai-Blogs.com entry, and I’ve found our views to be exactly the same. And now, we found out we actually have the same beginning at Mater Dei! Talk about small world. She’s almost 10 years behind me, so technically when I left Mater Dei she was in kindergarten. Heh. Oh yeah. 10 years ago I was already saying what Kitty says now. That, my friend, is just how “modern” I was for my time. 😀 P.S. I can eat...

When stress attacks

So, my body decided that it’s time to succumb to the cold that seems to have been nipping at me for the past week. With all the stress I’ve been under, I’m surprised that it took this long before I got sick. Saturday, we had a fantastic time down in San Diego with our friends Justin and Olaina. I set Olaina up with the blog and got her started on her art website somewhat. Justin has this weekend off from his medical internship, a rare occasion. They walked us through their little town and we had fabulous dinner. Sunday, I...

Fantastic!

“Fantastic” is my favorite word of the moment. Fan-tastic. Fan-fucking-tastic! I. Love. It! Like Sebastian Bach said on Supergroup, “It just rolls off your tongue.” That, and “Thwack”. Thwack that tennis ball. Thwack him in the head. Give it a few thwacks. That sort of thing. And, I won a free lunch from Marcello’s today. Yey, me!...

Well deserved beer

I got home and Brandon came to pick me up and off we went to dinner and drinks with some friends at EJ Malloy’s in Long Beach. First there were James and Shane who played frisbee golf with Brandon earlier. Jim met them there. I had a plate of fish and chips, a beer, a second beer when Lupe got there, and split a brownie sundae with everyone when Paul turned up and Jim and James left. Brenda and Jon came in for a good last little bit of my beer and then we too left. But man, I needed...

Confessions

Because I have nothing going in life but working, prepping for the trip, thinking about mom, being pissed at my jackass brother. Brandon is my rock right now. In his own way, he’s keeping me sane. We’ve gone out and done things outside the house all weekend. Partly because the apartment was so damn hot, but I know also that he wanted to make me feel better. The truth is, I’m scared. When I went home last time to see mom, I sort of expected to see her in worse shape. You know, sunken cheeks and bald head. I had...

Yo, bro!

Yeah. You. My supposedly sweet natured, family comedian, mom’s favorite middle child brother. You’re a fucktard. You know that? You bet your drunken butt you’ll hear from me. You’d better answer the phone when it rings, jackass. Don’t make me call you at the office. As for the rest of you, good Wednesday morning to you. I apologize for the message to my brother. Pretty much my day has started with a frustrating call home. Details will be left out from here to protect the innocents and the jackass himself. You may be safe from the scorn of the Blogosphere,...
