5 Thoughts I didn’t have to go anywhere today and my alarm was off. I was up at 7:30 a.m. Seriously. WTF. By the time I got to Elevensies, I realized I really don’t have any good snacks in the house… …or at work. Late lunch did screw up the rest of the my meal plan for the day because… …who knew 1/2 portion of ramen would stick with you all the way to dinner time! Read more about that in the food log below. Today’s Photo Happy Star Wars Day! (Belated, by the time this post is published.) Read...

5 Thoughts I foresee interesting substitution meal and weird scheduling in the future if I don’t start the day with 8 a.m. Breakfast. I’m getting hungry almost to the minute of my schedule now. It’s kind of creepy… I stuck to the schedule quite well considering that I spent half a day running around LA on geeky adventure with my Team Wicket partner Christine. Hooray for Free Comic Book Day! I fucking hate LA. I did exceed the 1,550 calorie allotment by a little bit, but still within the 1550-1773 range. Considered that I was under the limit for the...

5 Thoughts A friend emailed me to ask a question: “Hey, it’s about 9 a.m. So, what, you’re at Second Breakfast by now?” That totally made my day. 🙂 I felt exhausted all day. Then again, being on prescription allergy eye drops, prescription allergy nose spray, AND Claritin might have something to do with that. My sinus seems to be punishing me for riding INTO the wind yesterday, adding to the exhaustion, I’m pretty sure. I almost fell asleep at dinner. So I cheated a little bit on the meals and calling my dessert dinner. I ate dinner at 6...

5 Thoughts Calorie counting and logging food SUCKS. So much. Sure, the app helps. But hot dang! Finding food to nibble on SEVEN times a day takes a lot more energy than expected. Thank goodness my desk is well stocked. I don’t think I got a chance to feel hungry except for that gap between Tea and Dinner. Then again… …I rode my bike to and from work today. The ride home was brutal with the Santa Ana wind blowing into my face all the way home…on a beach cruiser. Longest mile and a half ever! And now my sinus...

Alright. I’m doing it, kids. I’m going on the Hobbit Diet for a month starting May 1. 7 meals a day. For a month. Why are you doing this? Curiosity. I want to see if it’s possible to sustain the Hobbit Diet. That’s it. Pure and simple. This is a chance to prove once and for all if all Thais are descendants of Hobbits! I mean, we’re tiny people who love food, love to eat and have a good time. Okay. Maybe it’s just me. I set this as one of my 2014 goals. Before the summer gets crazy, leading...

This is my final original article as the Face of the Race for the Los Alamitos Race on the Base. It’s been fun writing for them! Please give the Race’s blog some traffic and click here to see the original post. Also, I was interviewed pre-race with both the Race on the Base blog AND the Orange County Register. Check them out! After all this time of having shared with you about my journey and struggle with running, I almost didn’t make it to the Race this past Saturday. Tuesday night before the Race, I was clutching the toilet bowl...
