3960 and counting

As of 15:45 PST, 3960 people around the world danced to Thriller at 11 a.m. PST. That includes 114 of us Thrill the World Los Angeles at Hollywood & Highland this morning. More of Brandon’s fantastic photography here. And the pool is here. Did you see us on ABC 7 at 4:30 p.m.?  Oh yeah.  I got a full shimmying shot into the camera there.  Haha! Also on KTLA 5 for a blip, however I don’t know where that lady got her 10,000 number from. It’s not even in the press release! And here’s the brainchild of Mahdroo and Ines...

Madness descends

On top of the Big Gala, I have taken on the role of the publicity machine for Thrill the World Los Angeles on my off hours. I’m doing pretty well, considering the first year of TTWLA and my involvement with the crew.  A good distraction from the Big Gala coming up. Instead of Big Gala nightmares, I have TTW anxiety.  A good preparation for the real thing, I guess. Ines, the creator of Thrill the World, is coming into town tomorrow and I’ll get to meet her as well as Amanda and Mahdroo to powwow on the rest of the...

Geeks Rule. Girls Drool.

No.  Seriously.  Geek girls, get ready to drool. Picture and news courtesy of my favoritest blog these days, LA Time’s Hero Complex. The entire cast is filled with hunky eye candies from the traditional hotties like Chris Pine (Kirk) and Karl Urban (McCoy), the adorable ones like John Cho (Sulu) and Anton Yelchin (Chekov), the funny man Simon Pegg (Scotty), and the unconventionally dreamy Zachary Quinto (Spock). Oh. And Zoe Saldana as Uhura ain’t bad either.  😉 Seriously.  USS Enterprise, my ass. It’s more like USS Hubba Hubba Like I said a year ago, BEAM ME UP, J.J.!...

Feels like a Hooky

Ah. Columbus Day. A holiday where everyone else you know outside of government is hard at work.  Usually, Brandon would be off work today too, but Mr. Crazy Pants over there had scheduled a 2-day training course for today and tomorrow. Here in my home office at 9:30 a.m. on Monday with a mug of tea.  It feels like I’m playing hooky. It has been a very short and exhausting weekend so I’m grateful for today.  As you know, Saturday early afternoon was all zombie stuff.  Later that evening, we were at the Orange County Police Canine Association benefit show. ...

Zombies attack Manhattan Beach

The Torrance Daily Breeze was there yesterday, featuring its very own resident and half of Thrill the World leader, Amanda. But look closely at Picture #1 and #4.  You see somebody familiar? Of course, after the practice, I got home and had to try on my make up. You like? So, mark your calendar for Saturday, October 25 at Hollywood & Highland Center.  The dance will start at 11 a.m. sharp and lasts only 5 minutes so I’d suggest that you guys be there no later than 10:45 to catch all the action....

Phototastic Friday: Thrillah

Erin sent this to me.  That girl knows me too well.  🙂 This a victory week for Thrill the World LA.  As cocky as this might sound, I must toot my own horn here on playing a part in this year’s organization. First of all, I pitched to Hollywood & Highland as a possible venue for our October 25 performance.  And they agreed! One of our fearless leaders Mahdroo is going to discuss the details with the man in charge this afternoon. 200 Thriller zombies in the middle of H&H in the heart of Boulevard of Dreams.  That’s like WOW....
