After a super productive Saturday, Brandon and I holed up in our apartment for a day of rest. Yesterday, with the one oven, I baked 10 dozen of cookies (the batters yielded 2 dozen and 3 cookies more than I needed for the AIDS Walk order), and made a fantastic dinner of Roman-style chicken and roasted potatoes. The long weekend went like this. Errand Saturday. Baby and Kitties Sunday. Baby and Doggies Monday. I met J.C.’s baby Joshua for the very first time on Sunday. And yes, he IS tall! 1. Hunks upon hunks of well marinated meat roasted over open fire. Hmm….charred meat. 2. Bouncy house. (No adult takers this time though.) 3. 2 people burst into “Somewhere” from West Side Story in the middle of a conversation. 4. An impromptu sing-along broke out once the guitar is taken out of the case and everyone had sufficient amount of alcohol in their systems.
