X-Rated Morning

Started the day with Hero Complex’s collection of the character spotlights for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Dear Wade aka Deadpool: I am from a far off exotic place and I’m “new, exciting people”.  Meet me and I’ll let you kill me with your hotness. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdzKX1bEyEw&feature=channel] And Wolfy, darling, milk DOES your body soooo good....

Obligatory Earth Day Message

Happy Earth Day. I’m not much of an environmentalist but I’m slowly becoming a plastic bag usage nazi. I have canvas bags in my car and use them for my grocery shopping everywhere, and I refuse to take any plastic bags whenever I can carry my own loot out of the store…which was met with a LOT of  “Are you sure?” Yes I AM sure I can carry my prescription and a bottle of Nyquil out on my own. Yes I AM sure a loaf of bread, a pack of sliced cheese, and 2 tomatoes won’t need a bag. Yes...

Running Ragged

Funniest quote of the weekend: We rode the Passport bus to the Grand Prix and back from Alamitos Bay.  Somewhere by the Bluff on our way back, we spotted a couple of ladies walking down the street holding hands. The woman in front of us turned her head completely, pointing at the couple, excitedly telling her friend, “Oh my GOD! Girl, look! I dreamed of Tony

The sun was taking a dip in the vast teal water.  On the white sandy beach, around a bonfire, along the Tiki torches, there was dancing, laughing, and drum beats.  Music of Latin flavor; colors of the Caribbean. I was dancing on the sand in a white cotton summer dress. A cool drink in my hands perspiring.  Around me, friends of all different colors in even more colorful clothing chatting, eating, clapping, singing. We were celebrating the sunset. I plunked my giddy self down on the sand next to my best friend whose adventure I was privileged to be a...

Praying for time

I want to post about my Kogi BBQ experience on Saturday but y’all will just have to read my old twitter feed for now.  I promise to tell y’all all about it! Because Thailand is going to hell in a hand basket. And I’m constantly monitoring the situation. And praying for some kind of a resolution. My family is safe as far as I know. My oldest brother’s condo is close to PM Abhisit’s residence and that’s the closest to any action we’re going to get with my family, I hope. Thaksin, you lying, scheming, selfish, power hungry, son of...

Bunny Resolution

I’m bitter. You can ask me why. A disappointment of a major scale has occurred. It was like passing out before giving birth to a baby, missing out on the glorious moment you’ve been waiting for for months.  It’s really, really hard to get over. So I’ve been cranky around the office, stressed out around the house, and overall one angry and bitter ray of outward sunshine to everyone. My attempt to release stress at my yoga class was also squelched. It seems I have twisted my left hand on Tuesday.  I couldn’t put my weight on it and it...
