Animal Planet

#1 first day in COW SCHOOL Found on Flickr by Wild*Dreams. We were watching a National Geographic documentary Stone Henge Decoded. There was a scene when the archeology team starts to dig around the outside of the Durrington Walls.   There was a shot of all these cows gathered by the fence, seemingly to gawk at the humans.  Kind of like this. “How cute!”  Suddenly, a thought occurred to me. “Look at all them lookymoos!” *** #2 Southern California finally returns to its natural state of sunny and warm this weekend. “I’m sooo glad we can be out and about...

Pondering the upstream

I was up all night last night.  It wasn’t 4:30 a.m. before I crawled back into bed. It started with me coming home hungry and decided on eating two-day-old deep-fried salt cured fish (Plah Dad Deaw Todd) with rice.  I figured, it’s cured and it’s only two days old. I’ve eaten worse. A combination of having inhaled my dinner and possibly bad fish caused quite a reaction. Like I tweeted earlier, the fish was swimming upstream all night and is still threathening to go downstream as well. I tried to sleep but I couldn’t.  As to not to bug Brandon,...

25 Things a la Facebook

I had a feeling I might have done this before but for the life of me, I can’t find it on the blog.  I guess if I can’t remember, then it never really happened. Since I got tagged bajillion times on Facebook for this, and for some reason I’m not even tired, here’s my random 25. I’m ambidextrous. Sort of. Think I was born a lefty but then was made to use my right hand.  I write with my right.  Shoot hoops and pick up heavy stuff with my left.  I bat left because as a lefty forced to play...

That thing I do

I have been staying up passed my bed time this week.  Case in point, see time stamp. It seems I just have a lot I want to do and I’m excited about all of them.  I’ve been busy updating my experiences at the Temple and at the food blog with my cooking binge. I can’t tell you enough how much joy cooking give me.  Now even more joyous that Brandon has the monopoly on dishes.  It was like a runner’s high for me.  I feel awesome having cooked something we can both enjoy.  So I’ve been indulging in that little...

Life on Mars

I watched “The Martian Child” this morning.  The Martian Child thinks he’s from Mars.  Others think he’s weird but his adoptive dad goes with it and accepts him anyway. I’ve always seen myself as an outsider since I was a kid.  True, there were worse cases of “odd girls out” than how I feel, but I have never felt 100% belong anywhere. A part of me is always the odd girl out somewhere else. The geeklet among the “normal” people. But not geeky enough for the full-fledge geeks. The film snob among the mainstream Hollywood crowd.  Not into the real...
